You've heard of those six-word life stories? As hard as I try, I cannot seem to distill things that far. Perhaps...I came, I saw, I survived! But life has been alot more fun than that...school, career, marriage, children, divorce, and grandchilren. Went to school on an Army scholarship, for which I served as a nurse in a variety of places. I married an Army helicopter pilot and we had almost 20 years and three wonderful children together. I learned more than I can begin to describe from single parenthood after my husband went away. heir own. I retired from the Air Force a year ago...after reentering the military 20 years after leaving it. My children are in Salt Lake City, UT; Austin, TX and Kansas City, MO. I am, for the time-being in Salt Lake City enjoying the outdoors and a part-time job as a hospice nurse. I feel there is much more to do. I want to get back to skiing, hiking and taking my grandchildren on wonderful adventures. Meanwhile, I am watching after my 91 year old father who still, wood carves, builds projects (using a table saw, of all things), takes the dog for walks and is writing his life history. With longevity in my genes, I am planning plenty more experiences.
